Microsoft no longer officially supports Office for Mac 2011, which is the last version of Office that runs on Mac OS X 10.7. The last update was in October 2017. OpenOffice.org is both an Open Source product and a project. The product is a multi-platform office productivity suite. It includes the key desktop applications, such as a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation manager, and drawing program, with a user interface and feature set similar to other office suites.
Hi I'm struggling with the ' restore windows ' bug- mac 10.7.5 ( don't restore windows / restore windows buttons not responding ) I've tried the other fixes offered in the forum: but my trouble is i don't have a folder called ' Saved Application State ' Delete the file 'org.openoffice.script.savedState'. It is located this folder: /Users//Library/Saved Application State and i followed the screen shot directions here: I don't seem to have a folder named ' Saved Application State ' in my users/ library folder any help hugely appreciated!! ( if this has already been answered somewhere then apologies in advance! As far as I know, every other person with this problem has solved it by deleting their Mac's org.openoffice.script.savedState file. It might be good to review the deletion procedure with a friend, since they might notice something that you have missed. Note that there are several Library folders on a Mac, so you must ensure that you have the correct one to find Saved Application State.
You'll see in that both Chris and Scott report being unable to find the folder/file but later were able to do so. You're probably wondering 'What were they doing wrong since maybe that's my trouble too?' But they didn't tell us. If you resolve the problem, other people in this situation will thank you if you post back here and explain how you resolved the difficulty. You could check the topics below to see if any offer other solutions. Otherwise, do a web search for either 'Saved Application State' or org.openoffice.script.savedState and look for other suggestions for solving problems with your Mac's Resume feature, since that is what's causing the message to appear.
If we have answered your question please go to your first post use the Edit button and add Solved to the start of the title. The org.openoffice.script.savedState file is fully deleted when you delete it.
I wouldn't worry that you'll screw up your wife's computer when you delete org.openoffice.script.savedState. If something unusual happens and you haven't emptied the Trash, you can just open the Trash (icon in your Dock), select org.openoffice.script.savedState, and use File Put Back to restore it.
About LibreOffice for Mac LibreOffice is a free software office suite developed by The Document Foundation as a fork of OpenOffice.org. It is compatible with other major office suites, including Microsoft Office, and available on a variety of platforms. Its developers' goal is to produce a vendor-independent office suite with ODF support and without any copyright assignment requirements. The name is a hybrid word with the first part Libre, which means free (as in freedom) in French and Spanish, and the English word Office.
